Mathew Cuomo LLB(UWA) came to the legal profession a little later in life than some. He brings many years of life experience to his work. His keen interest in music began in early childhood and stems from years spent as a professional bass guitarist, playing Perth and touring West Australia many times throughout the 1980s and 1990s in various bands. Mathew is also credited on a number of album releases, including his own composition "The Serpent" being released on the "96FM Homegrown Album" in 1990. He has lived and worked in Europe, playing in the 1996 Dublin Blues Festival with members of legendary Irish rock band Thin Lizzy.

Mathew has also been involved in the world of business and management, working in the fields of new vehicle sales and finance. After graduating from Law School at The University Of Western Australia, he began his Articles of Clerkship in 2006 at a prominent and respected Kalgoorlie law firm. He was admitted to practice in the WA Supreme Court in 2007 and has worked as a Legal Practitioner in Kalgoorlie since that time.
